Recently, we have welcomed a number of new staff members to Alwen Hough Johnson Limited in London as well as to AHJ Europe AS in Oslo.

We are pleased to announce the following:

- Jamie Squires returned to AHJ joining the North American Treaty team as a Divisional Director in August 2021 broking US Property Cat business. Jamie spent the first 8 years of his career broking at AHJ and then 4 years at Tokio Marine HCC as a US Treaty Underwriter.

- Will Harris returned to AHJ joining the Non-Marine International - Caribbean team in September 2021 as a Broker with over 27 years of experience in the London & International markets. Will has helped create, launch, and place re/insurance solutions for some of the largest insurance companies in their territory as well as family-owned agencies servicing niche lines of business. 

- Marianne Wage-Nielsen joined AHJ Europe AS in October 2021 as an Office Coordinator & Broker Technician based at our Oslo office. Marianne was previously at Codan Forsikring for 11 years in various roles - most recently as a Business Support Manager.

- Kirstin Campbell joined the Non-Marine International - Caribbean team in January 2022 as a Financial Analyst & Broker. Kirstin was previously at ERGO Group for nearly three years in the finance department as a Finance and Data Analyst assistant.

- James Galyer joined the Non-Marine International - Caribbean team in January 2022 as a Broker. James was previously a broker at Willis Re and prior to this worked on the underwriting side at AmTrust syndicate.

- Ryan Dillon joined the IT team in January 2022 as an Operations & IT Assistant. Ryan's previous role was an AI Automation Analyst at AtomXDigital, a digital transformation agency. Prior to this Ryan was an IT Support Analyst at TPICAP, an Inter-dealer Broker.

- Rollin Barton joined the Compliance team in January 2022 as a Compliance Officer. Rollin has worked in the insurance industry for over 35 years and has over 20 years compliance experience.

- Kemsha Baker joined the IT team in August 2022 as a Programmer & Database Administrator working on bespoke application. Kemsha was previously a Junior QA Software Tester.

- Steven Allmond joined AHJ in October 2022 as a Claims Broker Technician in the Claims team. Steven has worked in the London market for over 20 years predominantly for Lloyds syndicates as a Senior Liability Adjuster. 6 years ago Steven moved on to the broking side in order to expand his knowledge of the industry and experience new classes of business and territories.

- Jeanette Hunter joined AHJ Europe AS in October 2022 as an Office Administrator based at our Oslo office. Jeanette was previously a customer consultant for 5 years at Convene, a supplier of self-service solutions for payment and administration.

- Michael Tagg joined AHJ in October 2022 as a Network Administrator in the IT team. Michael has 10 years’ experience in IT and 3 years’ experience in the insurance industry.

- Harry Shelsher joined AHJ in June 2023 as a Reinsurance Technician in the Financial & Professional Lines team. Harry is a recent graduate with a BA in Business Management and Marketing and has worked in various hospitality roles over the past 4 years.
